Love Is a Decision
Do you remember what God did to the whole world in the time of Noah? Do you
remember what led to His provocation?
Because the thoughts of the hearts of men were wicked and his imagination were
continually evil, He wiped out the first human race but in the New Testament, in spite of
man’s rebellion, He decided so much to love the world (John 3:16).
If your reason for not to love is as a result
of the evil (pain, hurts, heart break,
infidelity, wickedness) that had been
done to you in the past, you are not
obeying His command.
How are you different from the Gentiles who love those who love them and hate those
who hate them if your love is affected by a bad situation? I know it is not easy to do
but we all need His grace to do His will. And this is why you need God to express true
love.
Love is a decision. You must make up your mind to love that special person in your life
and family but when it comes to relationship, you can choose who you relate with. This
is not pride or class but carefulness. You must make the decision to love God and your
neighbour, come rain or shine because indecision makes you unstable. But be careful of
who you decide to love because every choice has its consequence.
