God is love and only Him can teach a person what love is. No matter where you go to, a person that doesn’t love God cannot express true love. Whether you go to church or mosque, God’s kind of love doesn’t expose you to terrible consequence. A man or woman that loves God is known through his or her character, words, belief and practice of love. If he loves God, he’ll not put you in a situation where you’ll dishonor Him. If she loves God, she won’t lure you into doing what He detest. Many do claim to love God but it’s only a talk of the lips. It’s only a person that loves God in word, deed and thought that can express true love. 2. You can’t recognize true love if you haven’t known God Since God is love, He has all the attributes of love. It’s only those who have built a relationship with Him that can know what lovers is and what is not. Love depicted in movies, read in novels or practiced by friends aren’t love. They are just man’s idea about what they feel love should be. Love is kind, doesn’t envy, nor puff up itself, not easily provoked nor thinks evil (You can study the 1 Corinthians 13 for more of its attributes). All of the nature’s of love are found in God. Those who know God would have His nature infused into their lives. Knowing God isn’t a talk of the lips but would reflect in one’s personality. Desire to know God so you can know what’s not love that most people practice. 3. True love isn’t in dating or in immoral relationship The likes of dating and other forms of immoral relationship cannot give you true love. How can you find the living amongst the dead? Is it possible? True love can be found in a God ordained relationship. Forget Romeo and Juliet model of love or how Prince Charming loved his princess. That’s not love but a display of affection. Love that would stand the test of time, come rain or shine must be that which comes from a pure source or where the parties involved puts God at the centre of their relationship. Any relationship where lust is practiced cannot fetch you true love because the nature of true love cannot be expressed in an ungodly relationship. 4. True love must emanate from within and must be mutual Do you have what it takes to manifest true love? You can’t give what you don’t have according to the popular saying and it’s true for true love. Until the nature of true love manifest in you, you can never express it. When you don’t have what it takes to express it, you can’t manifest it to others. There’s no point seeking for true love if you don’t know God or know what love is. True love cannot be found in an ungodly relationship but if you desire one, let God lead you into a godly relationship that would lead to marriage and not immoralities.
