A TRUE RELATIONSHIP (finding/maintaining your self-worth)
.
It is a good thing to be in love, to share your intimate thoughts with someone you genuinely love. Nothing is nicer than having someone who appreciates you in the smallest things. Someone who accepts you the way you are in the times of hardships. Someone who comforts you when you're troubled and lonely.
.
Someone who loves you no matter what and he/she is simply having you in their life because you mean a lot to them. The thing about love is very exceptional. You will have to live through tears and laughter.
.
Love will make you breathe through many smiles and frowns. You will face struggles and triumphs and your relationship will go through good and bad times. You will have your share of arguments and fights. But at the same time love will give you the strength to make up beautifully after each fight and resolve all your differences. You will love each other like never before after every struggle.
.
This is simply because the joy of being together will become so overwhelming and exciting that no matter what comes up, you will stay seriously in love with each other. When you are deeply in love, you share an extraordinary and special bond.
.
Now, the issue is; when you're encompassed in this feeling of love (courtship or marriage, courtship especially), your partner must know your kind of person, don't pretend, be free to make errors (not unreasonable ones), be yourself.
.
It’s wiser to lose someone over being who you are, than to keep them by being someone you’re not. This is because it’s easier to mend a broken heart, than it is to piece together a shattered identity. It’s easier to fill an empty space in your life where someone else used to be, than it is to fill the empty space inside yourself where YOU used to be.
.
Some persons totally forget themselves in the union, and start living totally for the other person. You get concerned about what he/she is thinking, how he/she is responding to you, and whether or not he/she truly loves you, yes it is good but it is very important not to forget yourself in the bargain too.
.
You must love yourself too, pursue your purpose, be busy (meaningfully); when you forget yourself, you tend to expect so much from your partner and when you expect much from your partner, you are not far from being disappointed!
.
A relationship is about giving more than you expect back but never at the cost of our most important personal needs though; especially our walk with God. When you neglect your most important personal needs, you lose touch with your true self and the results are neediness, insecurity and unhappiness.
.
Don't try to maintain a relationship alone, try to maintain yourself in a relationship! Set rules, have a vision, love yourself, treat yourself well, have a sound relationship with God, acquire skills, read books, say your mind, your ideas, opinions or suggestions, that's why you're his/her partner.
.
Don't be the whatever he/she says, contribute to his/her growth, a king always need opinion and it will be more great and welcomed when it's coming from the queen.
.
Don't forget that; there is no definition for a perfect relationship. We all have to make compromises in order to make our relationships perfect. You have to give up your ego and stubborn nature in order to strengthen your bond with your partner. You have to prove that the love you have for each other is bigger than the small differences which can be overcome easily. You just need to have the willingness to make it happen.
.
Be confident of yourself, self confidence is the most attractive quality a person can have. How can anyone see how awesome you are if you can’t see it yourself? Many ladies allow men to disrespect them because of the fear of losing them and when a man recognise that, he'll play on it, big time! Know your worth.
.
A stable personality that is getting its needs met is the precondition for a fulfilling relationship.
