RIGHT PARTNER Is he/she the right person for me? How would our living together look like? Hope our love won't fade off and so on are questions worth thinking of before proposing or accepting one. How do you know the answers to all these questions when we as human can only see the outside and cannot test the inside nor see it? How do you make sure this person is not a wolf in sheep's clothing? Talk to Him who knows the end from the beginning, who searches the heart of men (Jer. 17:10) and then, what do I need to have to be sure he/she is the right person? It is called conviction; and you can only have this in the place of prayer! See, don't let anyone deceive you with vain words that God doesn't choose for anybody again, my brothers and sisters, He's still in the matchmaking business. If you can pray, He can answer! The question is, are you listening? Are you willing to hear and ready to obey? 'If ye be willing and obedient, ye shall eat the good of the land:' Isa. 1:19 One thing about conviction is that, it makes you relax no matter the storm raging, it gives you the first class ticket to tell God whatever you don't like about your spouse (married or courting). Your conviction is what gives you the right to hold God for whatever happens in the journey, yes I said that. Hear me, let every pastors or prophets tell you he/she is the right one, if you're not personally convinced, you haven't got it right, quote me! You know why? When the going gets tough, those people won't be there with you and how do you want to approach God about the case? Having said that, you also have to be sure of your conviction. This is really going to be long as I'm led to talk about ways by which you can hear God. When you're asked about your conviction and you cannot boldly talk or you get unnecessarily scared, check it, are you really certain of what you call your conviction? Some people pray having their mind set on a particular person, in such cases, to hear will be difficult because you will hear more of your own thoughts and flesh. You have to remove that picture from your mind first and approach God with an empty hand waiting for His filling and direction. You can go to prophets or pastors to pray but avoid neglecting your own personal prayers. Who is this pastor or prophets, remember the word of God in Matt.24:24 which talked about many false prophets, be careful! Tomorrow by His grace we'll see various ways God speaks to us.
